Contribute to the Web Site
The easiest way to volunteer is to contribute something to the web site--a success story, tip, or anything else that you think would be helpful to others in Lafayette. The web site is a community project and f you send us something we'll try our best to find a spot for it on the web site.
Represent Sustainable Lafayette at Events
Work at our booth/table at a local event to help spread the word about Sustainable Lafayette and sustainability. We participate in the following events: Earth Day, Moraga Fair, Lafayette Art & Wine Festival, and the Reservoir Run.
Join a Committee:
Sustainable Lafayette is looking for residents that want to help in the following areas:
Working with Schools - to work on programs that help local schools adopt green practices
Working with Local Businesses - to work on programs that help local businesses adopt green practices.
Promoting Local Food - to be part of a “Local Foods Group” that meets once a month to work on projects for bringing more local food options to Lafayette.
Workshops and Educational Efforts - to help organize educational workshops every couple months.
Event Planning & Coordination - to help plan the annual Earth Day Festival and other events that we participate in.
Offer Your Expertise
Speaking/Teaching - We hold periodic workshops and are always looking for great speakers and experts on sustainability-related topics.
Writing - Write success stories, articles, or tips that can be published on our web site
